30th June 2010 - Conference Sponsorship. Helmsman Services have made their mark in London by being a sponsor of a large conference.  ‘Outsourcing 2010’ is an annual one-day event for the public sector held at the Barbican and attended by over 200 delegates.   Tony Willson, Managing Director, said “We have been providing outsourced training management for the construction industry for over 12 years and now see an opportunity to move in Local Government. We know that our services can save a great deal of money and this is all-important at the moment’.

Helmsman sponsored the lap-top bags at the conference and their attendance immediately resulted in Nicky Garrett, their Senior Training Co-ordinator being asked to contact one council who were just about to lose their Learning & Development Manager. Nicky said ‘It’s all about timing. Sometimes your are there at the right place at the right time - which is always good!’
